The staff - very nice and super friendly. Particularly good, stunning location down to the sea. And next to areas where the wallpaper and paint were peeling.

You guys made my stay nice. A family atmosphere, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The family room was spacious, had an electric kettle, central heating, and multi-channel television. Supper friendly and welcoming staff and the breakfast was astonishing with berries and fresh croissants, for instance. The hotel had great location adjacent to bus stops for the services going north to Thurso & south to Inverness, areas where the wallpaper and paint were peeling and the services going north to Thurso.
Disappointing aspect was not clean bathroom.

I had a fantastic stay at this lovely B&B. the hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. the location was quiet and picturesque, surrounded by beautiful landscape. the room was spacious, well-decorated, and clean, with a large bathroom. the highlight was the delicious breakfast, served around a big table where I could meet and chat with other guests. the hosts even went above and beyond by providing a treat for my dog. I also appreciated the kind gesture of not charging for an additional person in the room, as my son was on a charity bike ride. a truly enjoyable and memorable experience. Cons: Nothing everything was great! 😊.

During our stay at Blends Latheronwheel, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly demeanor of the hosts. They went above and beyond to accommodate our request to have our late-night takeaway dinner in the dining room, making us feel truly welcomed. The room we stayed in was large and airy, providing a comfortable and cozy space for us to unwind. The breakfast table was a delight, with a variety of fresh fruit and a hearty cooked breakfast that kept us energized for the day ahead. The location of the hotel, just off the A9, was convenient for our travels. The nearby bus stop also made it easy for us to explore the stunning coastal scenery and the John O'Groats path. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as a lack of bedside lamp and inconsistent WiFi, the overall experience was positive and I would not hesitate to recommend Blends Latheronwheel to others. I highly recommend this hotel for its welcoming atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and convenient location.

Lovely big room, with lots of space and a comfortable bed. the breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of fresh fruit and a tasty bacon. the location was perfect, close to the coastal scenery and the John O'Groats path. It was also easy to find, making it a convenient stopover on our way up the coast.
The bathroom could use a table for convenience, and the bed was a bit lumpy. these were minor inconveniences compared to the overall positive experience we had at the hotel.

We had a warm welcome from the friendly owner's daughter who gave us great tips about the stunning nearby Harbour and lovely dog-friendly walks. The location was perfect for our visit to John O'Groats. The whole place had a cozy, homey feel. The beds were honestly the best we've ever slept on. The hosts were incredibly nice and helpful. Breakfast around a big table created a friendly atmosphere and we enjoyed meeting other guests. The family room was spacious, clean, and had a well-stocked tea and coffee facilities. The hosts even booked a fantastic dinner for us in Lybster. We left with full bellies and happy memories.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the landlady made me feel right at home. the room I stayed in was spacious and airy, and the bed was warm and comfortable. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast, which had a wide variety of options, including fresh fruit. One thing I really appreciated about Blends was its convenient location next to a bus stop, which was important for me as a non-driver. the surrounding area offered stunning coastal scenery and easy access to the John O'Groats path. the pricing was reasonable and the overall provision was great. I would definitely consider returning in the future. Cons: Nothing 🙌.

My family and I were pleasantly surprised by the quiet location of the hotel, despite its proximity to the A9. It provided a peaceful atmosphere for a relaxing stay. Additionally, the warm and welcoming owners made us feel right at home. The breakfast was superb and they even catered to my gluten intolerance. I would highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay while exploring the East coast of Scotland.
I must admit that our room had some issues. The double bed was broken and unstable, which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep.
